Our high brightness LCD display incorporates with high efficiency sunlight readable LCD modules, which consist of a world famous SHARP color LCD modules whose original backlight are replaced by a very high brightness backlight.  When the backlight is powered to the maximum watts, the module can delivers brightness of 1,350 Cd/m² and 920 Cd/m²  for size 12.1 inch and 18.1 inch respectively.  At this level, the display is highly readable under direct dazzling sunshine.  Besides, the color tone of the "White" displayed on the LCD screen is closely matched to the color of normal sunlight.  The high resolution displayed by MT1200HB (12.1 inch) is 800x600, while by MT1800HB (18.1 inch) is 1280x1024.  They are the right choice for outdoor application, such as information kiosk, ATM machine, outdoor presentation,  or any outdoor industrial use.  

The half brightness life of the backlight is 20,000 hours and 25,000 hours separately before the backlight brightness drops down to 50% of their initial value of 1,350 Cd/m² and 920 Cd/m².  We will suggest to use a small fan or a heat sink mounted on the backlight, if you want to place the display horizontally.
